On November 11, 2020, the last shipment of GCGV PE Module Project successfully delivered from Yanda jetty, which marks the successful whole completion of the project.

The project is located near Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. As the world first modularized olefin facility project, it will become the largest ethylene plant in the world after its completion.

The scope of work undertaken by Yanda (Haimen) is the prefabrication of total 18 modules, with a total weight of about 18,000 ton. The specific scope of work covers steel structure prefabrication and assembly, piping and support, galvanization, E&I, insulation, heat tracing, fireproofing, pre-commissioning, packing&logistics. From the construction start in May 2019 to the completion and delivery, it took a total of one year and five months, which was in line with the expected construction schedule.

With the fully support of GCGV and MHI, Yanda project team overcame many difficulties, such as tense schedule, much cross work, difficult construction and Covid-19, and completed 3 shipment of modules on schedule. Yanda makes commitment of higher quality, superior techniques, sound safety, integrated efficiency and on-time delivery with the efforts and actions.

In order to commend outstanding performance of Yanda Haimen on this project, on the eve of the third shipment delivery, Iain Quinn, GCGV Module Manager, came to Yanda Haimen yard and presented Champion Trophy to Mr. Lei Jianmin, Yanda President for Yanda team. Iain Quinn said that Yanda people showed that Yanda Haimen is a world-class factory with world-class performance! Shingo Watanabe, Project Manager of MHI, also praised Yanda Haimen for outstanding achievements and awarded project team with a commemorative medal engraved with "Band of Brothers".
