Mozambique LNG Module and Piping Prefabrication Project Held the Frst Cut Ceremony


Time always moves forward, but the journey never stops.


On the morning of January 28, 2021, Mozambique LNG Module and Piping Prefabrication Project held the first cut ceremony. Mr. Flavio Meggiato, Project Manager and Mr. Marco Invidia, Material Manager of CCSJV, project team members and management of Yanda Haimen attended the ceremony.


For the Mozambique LNG project, Yanda Haimen will undertake two work packages (WP2/3), of which the WP2 package is 1,150,000 Dia-inch piping prefabrication; the WP3 package is 118 pipe rack modules with a total weight of 23,000 tons.


Before the ceremony, Huang Song, Deputy General Manager of Yanda Haimen, shared Safety Moment with participants. He said that as the first cut of Yanda Haimen in 2021, he hopes that the project will strictly control HSSE under the tight construction period, especially in the situation of repeated epidemics. Project team shall make good self-prevention and complete the fabrication of the project safely and smoothly.


Pei Denian, General Manager of Yanda Haimen, presented a brief speech at the ceremony. He said that although the project schedule is very tight with a heavy burden, Yanda Haimen is very confident. Because Yanda Haimen has an energetic, experienced and challenging project team and a strong construction team. At the same time, he also expressed his gratitude to CCSJV for its high trust in Yanda Haimen and said that Yanda Haimen will do best to maintain close communication and collaboration with CCSJV, and the project will be successfully delivered. Subsequently, Mr. Pei announced officially that the commencement of the project.


Afterwards, Mr. Pei and Mr. Flavio jointly started the button in the cutting workshops of yard. The project team members and the clients witnessed this exciting moment together with repeated applause at site.


According to the current schedule, the project will be fully completed and delivered in August 2022, partly transported from Yanda Haimen's own jetty, and partly exported from Shanghai Port. The project investor is TOTAL and the project contractor is CCSJV (joint company of CBI, Saipem and Chiyoda). The project site is on the AFUNGI Peninsula in Mozambique.
